The Hierophant Green

The Hierophant Green is a beluga class land-steamer, a land fairing track vehicle that is a mixture of train and cruise ship. The Heirophant Green is 50ft (15m) wide, 680ft (212m) long, and 120 ft (36m) tall, or about 12 decks.

it has a crew of about 300, and enough beds for about 1,200 passengers, not counting spare room let out in the cargo area for additional passengers.

Amenities

A large number of luxurious amenities are available to all passengers aboard the land-steamer. Access to all these amenities are included in the price of a first-class ticket. Most are available to other passengers for a small fee.

Indoor pool

The Indoor pool is a large swimming area with associated locker rooms. The pool operates from 7AM to 7PM, with hours divided out for Adults Only swim times. There is always a lifeguard on duty during operation hours.

Billiards Hall

A large room with four Billiards tables in the center of the room and seating around the periphery for viewing. Smoking is allowed.

Cafes

Three cafes are available to service clientele, each serving a cuisine from a distinct region of Alaraes.

  1. The Quillion
    1. Serves a variety of dishes from Qokon
    2. Dishes consist of various domesticated animals such as horses, cattle, camels, yaks, and sheep served as a stew or dumpling
    3. Dishes tend to be fatty and rich.
  2. The Lodge
    1. Serves a variety of dishes from Aesh
    2. Dishes celebrate the native culture of the region with berries, nuts, and alternative protein sources front and center.
    3. Very little domesticated animals are served. Most meat is sourced from wild game.
  3. Scholz Garten
    1. Serves a variety of dishes from Reiben
    2. Most dishes are paired with strong beers and ales
    3. Meats are primarily pork, poultry, and beef.
    4. Meals are hearty and filling, and this slightly more expensive

Viewing Cafes

Each viewing cafe serves the same fair; tea, coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. They are primarily social gathering places for viewing the passing scenery. They are located on the recreational deck and slightly overhang the hull of the Hierophant Green.
The available verandas are:

  3. Prow

Smoking rooms

The smoking rooms aboard are large quiet places where gentlemen of stature and reputation may sit and relax while smoking and drinking fine spirits, getting away from the bustle of life for a few hours. Talking is discouraged in these areas unless you are in a private alcove.
There is one smoking room provided for first class passengers to associate and is invite only otherwise. There is a second smoking room available for 2nd class passengers in exchange for a small surcharge.

Library and Writing rooms

The library is fully stocked with research material on any number of topics that a discerning guest may need access to. Several literary classics are available as well. Books are not allowed to be removed from the library, but they may be purchased for their face value.
Several writing rooms are available just off the main library to pen correspondence in a secure and private manner. A com-net vestibule is available to all guests just outside the library entrance. The library, writing rooms, and com-net vestibule are open 24 hours a day.

Gymnasium

The gymnasium is stocked with the most modern exorcise equipment available. The gymnasium is open 24 hours a day and always has a fitness trainer present, both to give advice and ensure guest safety.

Barbershop and Salon

A barbershop and salon are both available on board. 1st class passengers may schedule styling in their rooms.

Hammam

The open-air steam bath offers a relaxing location to cleanse the body, mind, and spirit of impurities while at the same time providing a soothing bathing environment. Hours are separated for male and female guests’ convenience.

Esplanade

The esplanade is the large open-air top deck of the Hierophant Green. It allows sun-bathing in the summer months and always provides clear unobstructed views to the surrounding scenery during the voyage. The esplanade is always open to guests and well-lit at night.

Greenhouse

The defining feature and namesake of the Hierophant Green, the greenhouse on the prow of the land steamer is a fully enclosed living forest available for guests to enjoy a calming walk through nature 24 hours a day. The greenhouse sits just behind the prow of the ship and is larger on the inside than its exterior would suggest. It is a one-of-a-kind feature and it is encouraged for all guests to visit at least once before disembarking. The greenhouse is available for free to all passengers.
