Vola is a Knight of the Obsidian Tower and Arlo's Warder, a Knight bound by oath and magic to protect a specific mage.

Despite her relatively young age, Vola looks to be in her early to mid 40's

Vola is not traditionally trained as a knight, and became one by happenstance. She saved Arlo from a kidnapping about a year ago in Obsidian, but was mortally wounded during the fight. Arlo formed the Warder Bond with her to save her life in turn.

• Vola is stern but not unkind.
• Vola will always do what's right, but complain about it if it inconveniences her.
• Vola does not want to fight, but will to defend Arlo and innocents.
